AN SANCTOIR AGM

E-mail Print PDF

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AT AN SANCTOIR, BALLYDEHOB SUNDAY 26th APRIL
It has been an exciting and busy year for An Sanctoir with new projects and ideas being developed. This year's AGM will highlight much of this activity which has predominantly been in relation to land use and projects such as the Forest Garden and Community/Educational Garden. An Sanctoir is a community-owned and run community centre and nature reserve, with 23 acres of beautiful mixed habitat, located just outside the village of Ballydehob. Plans are currently under way for the construction of improved outdoor facilities such as the Cob Kitchen. In addition to its availability for those using the land for activities, this will bring the opportunity for groups and individuals to learn natural building techniques, side by side with experienced facilitators.
This year further attention has been brought to encourage the integration of people with learning difficulties and disabilities, and An Sanctoir are keen to encourage more of these groups to come and use the facilities which are currently being upgraded to facilitate them. Disadvantaged groups are also encouraged to get in touch to discuss in what ways we may be able to offer our support.
The AGM will be held on Sunday 26th April for 7pm. You are very welcome to attend and find out more about what the year has brought for the community of An Sanctoir, along with plans and intentions for the future. Following the meeting excerpts from ‘What about me’ the sequel to the award winning film ‘One Giant Leap’ will be shown. Dancing will follow with DJ Caroline Carey. Refreshments provided.
