BANTRY AND GLENGARRIFF SHOTOKAN KARATE CLUB Following their success at the World Championships in London last year, the Bantry & Glengarriff Karate Club will again represent Ireland at this year’s event in Venice, Italy. Since the formation of the club in 1997, its members have attained medals at local, national and international competitions.  They will compete in Kata & Kumite at both Junior and Senior level under the guidance of Sensei Les Elliot. In the coming months leading up to the Championships, the club will be hoping to raise money through sponsorship in the local area.  All contributions would be greatly appreciated in helping the team to reach their goal.  The Chairman of Bantry Traders, Mr Eddie Wiseman wishes the Club all the best in their training leading up to the event, and every success in the competition.
